Jennifer
Practice Administrator / Spa Director

Jennifer began her career in the medical field by earning an AAS degree and serving as a clinical respiratory therapist for eight years, including three years as a neonatal/pediatric therapist at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. She has always had a love for cosmetic procedures and skin care, and decided in 1997 to apply her knowledge of medicine and business to the aesthetic skin care industry and become an aesthetician.

Jennifer founded Essentials Med Spa to provide superior aesthetic services under the safest, most effective conditions, in order to bring about the best outcomes possible. An avid consumer of medical skin products since the age of 20, she not only has a true love for them, she is also thoroughly versed in the products themselves, the chemistry behind them, and how they interact with the skin.

Jennifer is proud that Essentials Med Spa approaches skin care differently from many other practices. The goal is to heal skin from the inside out, to treat it in the healthiest way possible, rather than merely stripping off the old skin.

Since the spa opened two years ago, Jennifer has taken pride in managing an expert and knowledgeable staff that educates clients and offers outstanding customer service in every area, something that has been of the utmost importance from the outset. She feels that the most important aspect of the med spa, and what differentiates it from many other spas in the area, is the amount of time spent with clients and the care given to informing them of their skin care treatments. Clients enjoy the power of knowledge and a warm reception.

Mary R.

Mary is the office manager for the plastic surgery practice. She has been in plastic surgery for 12 years as an office manager, surgical nurse and patient care coordinator, and was a surgical technologist for a plastic surgeon from 1995-2003.

Mary has been a certified permanent makeup technician since 2004 and has additional certification in areola restoration for women who have had breast cancer. The results of her work reflect a true artistic ability.

Mary believes that continuing education is very important, and she attends classes and seminars regularly to ensure that she is knowledgeable about the latest advances in the field. She also values passing her expertise on to others, and expects to be teaching permanent makeup techniques within the next year.

Mary J.

Our assistant spa director, Mary, has been a licensed clinical aesthetician for two years. One of the many skills she contributes to the practice is her exemplary talent for customer service. Mary knows all of our clients by name and enjoys developing good relationships with them.

Julie

A medical aesthetician for 7 years, Julie worked at a very prestigious medical spa in Chicago before moving to Florida and joining the Essentials Med Spa team.

Julie is an expert in skin care knowledge and skin care products and has a great touch with patients as well. Along with building relationships with her clients, she is dedicated to achieving the best results possible with each of her patients at the med spa.

Cristy

Cristy is our registered nurse practitioner. She is very knowledgeable in medical skin care and has an extensive background in women's health and cosmetic dermatology.

A nurse since 1983 and a nurse practitioner since 1997, Cristy was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society as well as the Sigma Theta Tau international honor society of nursing.

At the med spa, Cristy provides expert laser hair treatments, photofacials, BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments and dermal fillers. She is fluent in Spanish.

Bessie

Bessie is our medical billing manager. She has a degree in Accounting and has been in insurance claims processing since 1993.
